The Western Plains District is hosting Jane Creswell, a Master Certified Coach, in leading a 12-hour course which will provide basic understanding and skill to enable persons to begin to practice coaching. It will provide a helpful approach for creative pastoral ministry. It will undergird and strengthen the ministry of persons who are trained, experienced coaches.
The event itself is being held October 12-13, 2009, in Great Bend, Kansas, and while on-site attendance is highly preferred, for those unable to attend in person, a collaboration of Bethany Theological Seminary's Electronic Communications and the Church of the Brethren Transforming Practices, Congregational Life Ministries, will make it possible for all sessions of the training to be viewed live over the internet. Sessions that are broadcast will also be recorded and available to viewed here from this same site shortly after the training is concluded.
All that is needed to participate is a computer with an high-speed internet connection and sound (no webcam nor microphone required). Participation may be done individually, or in groups (several people gathered around one computer, or a large group using a projector). Simply follow the directions below--the interactive broadcast will display in your web browser!

Jane Creswell comes to us as one of the central developers of the worldwide coaching industry. We are excited and greatly blessed that she is willing to provide this training for us.
