A discernment program for youth
July 19-29, 2019
For students who have completed grades 9-12
“If you are thinking of going, just go because it is amazing and you learn so much!”
What is it all about?
- Traveling to Elgin, Illinois, to spend time at the Church of the Brethren General Offices and having the opportunity to shadow employees
- Attending different religious services in the Indianapolis area
- Working alongside a Church of the Brethren pastor for a weekend
- Volunteering at Camp Mack, a year-round Church of the Brethren camp in Milford, Indiana
- Visiting Manchester College and talking with staff members
- Observing the work of a chaplain at the Brethren Retirement Community in Greenville, Ohio
- Planning closing worship together
- Finding new friends who share your interests and excitement for ministry
- Listening for where God is calling you
What does it cost?
Due to a generous grant, all participants will receive a full scholarship. Students pay only for their transportation to and from the event and a $25 registration fee.
