Events for 2017-2018 Academic Year:

  • Fall Board Meeting: October 27-29, 2017
  • Spring Board Meeting: April 5-7, 2018
  • Commencement: May 5, 2018

Work closely with the President, Executive Assistant to the President, and Director of Communications on all aspects of the Presidential Forum, bi-annual board meetings, and commencement including meeting with committees, dealing with hospitality and registration needs, and working with presenters.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Attend committee meetings as needed, arrange leadership hospitality, schedule venues, create registration forms, monitor registration, and respond to questions. Communicate with committee members, presenters, caterers, local hotels, and vendors. Recruit and manage student volunteers for events. Assist with hospitality, A/V, and registration. Distribute publicity, prepare name tags, participant packets, and collate evaluations. Assist with airport transportation for presenters/guests.

Skills Required:

Professional manner and ability to listen with care, multitask and creatively solve problems, sometimes immediately, is essential. Necessary technological skills include proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Willingness to learn how to post material on the Bethany website and Moodle pages. Must be able to understand and work with budgets.

Physical Demands:

May include long stretches of time working, particularly at the time of an event. May be asked to move furniture, carrying heavy boxes of paper, supplies, or quantities of food.
