  • Continuing Education Offers for Alumni

Bethany Seminary courses are open to all, and alumni are especially welcome to reconnect with the Bethany community through the classroom experience. To support our alumni in the pursuit of lifelong learning, Bethany is offering the following option for graduate-level courses, beginning with the 2018-19 academic year:

  • Up to five years after graduating, Bethany alumni may audit two courses at no cost.
  • Beyond five years after graduating, Bethany alumni may audit one course at no cost.

Graduate Courses

To audit a graduate-level course, please complete the Auditor Application Form. Alumni may waive the $50 application fee, whether or not they are auditing the course for no cost. Alumni who have already completed their allotted free courses will need to pay $350 per course. Note that if CEUs are desired, the student must contact the Brethren Academy Office.

Brethren Academy Courses

Alumni may also enroll in Brethren Academy courses for personal enrichment or continuing education credit. Applicants should complete the Brethren Academy Course/TRIM Payment Form, selecting Academy Course Fee as purpose of payment. If CEUs are desired, select Two Continuing Education Credits as registration preference.

Course Requirements

To successfully audit a graduate course or earn CEUs for an Academy course, students will

  • meet the attendance requirements
  • complete the assigned reading;
  • engage in the course through participation.

Auditors and continuing education students are not required to complete papers or exams that are not requested by the instructor, but should they choose to, they can expect to receive feedback from the instructor.

Transcripts are available by completing the Transcript Request Form.
