Tamisha Tyler

Visiting Assistant Professor of Theology and Culture, and Theopoetics and Director of the MA Program

Dr. Tamisha Tyler earned her PhD from Fuller Theological Seminary. Her scholarly and teaching interests include theopoetics methods, Afrofuturism, and the fiction of Octavia Butler. She has completed fellowships with the Cultura Institute and Sacred Rites, and she has worked with such arts organizations as Level Ground, the Grunewald Guild, and the New Story Festival. Her poems have been shared widely and published in CIVA and FULLER magazines. She is co-editor of the Feminist Studies in Religion Blog. She was a postdoctoral fellow at Louisville Institute before joining the Bethany faculty full time.
