Brethren Academy Hires New Administrative Assistant

Raul Rivera Arroyo

Raul Rivera Arroyo has accepted the position of administrative assistant for the Brethren Academy for Ministerial Leadership (BAML), a partnership of Bethany Theological Seminary and the Church of the Brethren Office of Ministry.

Rivera Arroyo holds a B.A. and M.A. from Atlantic University College in Graphic Design, and an MDiv (2020) from Bethany Theological Seminary.

“Raul’s ministry formation training, as well as his fluency both in English and Spanish, will certainly help students of the Brethren Academy and those who serve alongside them, says Janet Ober Lambert, the director of BAML. “We are excited to welcome him to the Academy.”

His prior employment includes a supportive role with the Church of the Brethren of Puerto Rico and freelance positions as a game developer and graphic designer. He will bring a deep knowledge of theological education and ministry training as well a variety of creative, technical, and relational skills to this new role.

Rivera Arroyo begins his part-time, remote work with the Brethren Academy on Monday, February 2, 2026.
