Trustees Gather for Fall Meeting

The Bethany Theological Seminary Board of Trustees convenes for its fall meeting September 20-22, 2024 in Richmond, Indiana. The members of the board are typically on campus twice a year for meetings, traveling from homes in California, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Kansas, and Virginia. The Trustees bring a wide variety of professional expertise to the their service on the board, including careers in accounting, finance, law, ministry, non-profit leadership and higher education. Many have strong ties to the Church of the Brethren.

“We are fortunate to have a talented, dedicated, diverse, and supportive group of Trustees that is steadfast in its dedication to our educational mission,” says President Jeff Carter, who serves as an ex-officio member of the board.

During the fall 2024 meeting, Trustees will meet as a group in both open and executive sessions, and split into committees focused on Academic Affairs, Board Development, Business Affairs, Institutional Advancement, Investments, and Student Affairs. The board will also participate in worship on Sunday morning and enjoy dinner at Forest Hills Country Club where they will be joined by Dr. Dennis Rome, chancellor of Indiana University East.
