International Scholar in Residence

Dr. Dauda Gava has joined Bethany as visiting international scholar-in-residence during the Spring Semester, 2022.

Dr. Gava is provost of Kulp Theological Seminary in Jos, Nigeria, and a Pauline scholar. He previously collaborated with Dr. Dan Ulrich to team teach a well-received course on the Book of Romans. They offered that course this year as a January intensive, with Dr. Gava teaching from the Technology center in Jos.

During the Spring Semester, Dr. Gava has taught a semester-long block course on Paul’s letter to the Philippians, and he will be writing a commentary on the Book of Titus.

“We are delighted to welcome Dr. Gava to our campus and to offer students the opportunity to learn from him,” says Dean Steve Schweitzer.

Dr. Gava is preaching during chapel on April 6, 2022.
