New Role for Mark Lancaster at Bethany

Bethany Theological Seminary announces that Mark Lancaster will begin work in the newly created position of assistant to the president for strategic initiatives on August 1, 2018. Lancaster has served Bethany as executive director of institutional advancement since July 2015.

In his new part-time role, Lancaster will focus his efforts on the goals and objectives of Bethany’s new Strategic Vision Implementation Plan, working collaboratively within the Seminary. A major initiative will be maintaining Bethany’s relationship with EYN as it pertains to their educational partnership and as outlined in the implementation plan. He will explore grants and other funding sources to support the annual fund and implementation plan goals. In consultation with institutional advancement leadership, Lancaster will also continue to maintain institutional connections with major donors.

Lancaster has also accepted a call to serve as part-time director of the Brethren Heritage Center in Brookville, Ohio, beginning August 1. He will have responsibility for managing all aspects of the Center, including strategic planning, promotion, fund-raising, personnel, acquisition of holdings, and management of finances.
